California adopted a mandatory green building code called CALGreen and New York City recently upgraded its efforts with the recent passage of local Green Building codes and laws.
These mandates include installing live rooftop plant gardens accompanied by a minimal solar system and a range of energy-saving measures. We conduct energy audits and recommend a wide collection of building accessories and ideas that can help property owners and managers to reduce carbon and energy costs. Included are energy-saving LED lighting solutions, and skylights for warehouses/office spaces, along with selected plants chosen for their tolerance to rooftop temperature fluctuations and as the key ingrdients to living green rooftops.

These kits are sized according to population, the number of major roadways, and future expectations of electric vehicle usage. The Kits typically offer (scalable amounts) solar-powered street lamps, bus stops, and public park lighting, along with PV modules for solar arrays on local government buildings.

Green rooftop mandates greatly help avert urban heat islands while at the same time improving the quality of the overall environment. The cooling effect in the summer and the increased retention of heat in the winter greatly help lower energy costs and carbon emissions. Facilitate Electrical Vehicle Charging
Most electric vehicle charging occurs at private residences. There are 3 basic levels of chargers. Level 1 chargers are normally those that are included with the purchase of the vehicle. It involves a standard home 120v outlet. Charging times run 8 to 15 hours. Level 2 chargers are what most residential and public spaces use.
Applications range across residential, office buildings, retail shopping centers, and multi-unit buildings. The power supply for level 2 is a dedicated 240v line (similar to an electric dryer outlet) with charging times running between 3 to 10 hours. Level 3 chargers are the fastest and consequently are best suited for charging sites with high demand.
